Old Lady Lloyd

Old Lady Lloyd is episode five of the first season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and episode 5 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 4 February 1990 and, under the title “Song of the Night,” on the Disney Channel on 17 October 1990. It was written by Fiona McHugh and directed by Bruce Pittman. It was preceded by “The Materializing of Duncan” and followed by “Proof of the Pudding.”

This episode stars series regulars Sarah Polley (Sara Stanley), Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Lally Cadeau (Janet King), Cedric Smith (Alec King), Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia King), and Zachary Bennett (Felix King). Guest stars include Zoe Caldwell (Old Lady Lloyd), Lloyd Bochner (Mr. Cameron), Rebecca Jenkins (Sylvia Gray), and Susan Cox (Peg Bowen).

A novelization by Fiona McHugh, entitled Song of the Night, as volume 3 of the Road to Avonlea book series, was published in Canada in 1991 and the United States in 1992.
