Sara’s Homecoming

Sara’s Homecoming is episode one of the second season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and episode 14 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 2 December 1990 and on the Disney Channel on 29 April 1991. It was written by Heather Conkie and directed by René Bonnière. It was preceded by “Nothing Endures but Change” and followed by “How Kissing Was Discovered.”

This episode stars series regulars Sarah Polley (Sara Stanley), Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia King), Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), Lally Cadeau (Janet King), and Cedric Smith (Alec King). Guest stars include Frances Hyland (Nanny Louisa), Elizabeth Shephard (Isis), Robert Collins (Blair Stanley), Miklos Perlus (Peter Craig), and J. Winston Carroll (Leo).

A novelization by Heather Conkie, as volume 12 of the Road to Avonlea book series, was published in Canada in 1992 and the United States in 1993.
