Hearts and Flowers

Hearts and Flowers is episode nine of the fourth season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and episode 48 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 7 March 1993 and on the Disney Channel on 1 November 1993. It was written by Hart Hanson (teleplay) and directed by Stephen Surjik. It was preceded by “Heirs and Graces” and followed by “Felicity’s Perfect Beau.”

This episode stars series regulars Sarah Polley (Sara Stanley), Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia Dale), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King), and Lally Cadeau (Janet King); absent from this episode is series regular Cedric Smith (Alec King). Guest stars include Ian D. Clark (Mr. Tremayne), Michael Mahonen (Gus Pike), Zachary Ansley (Arthur Pettibone), Albert Millaire (Pierre Lapierre), Cecilia Clermont (Suzette Moreau), Rummy Bishop (Mr. Packet), and Ed Sahely (Gulley Gogarty).
