An Open Letter from a Minister’s Wife is an essay that L.M. Montgomery published in the October 1931 issue of The Chatelaine, a Toronto periodical, seven months after publishing “The ’Teen-Age Girl” in the same magazine. Nellie L. McClung’s article “What Does the Congregation Expect of a Minister’s Wife?” followed in the December 1931 issue. Montgomery’s essay is reprinted in The L.M. Montgomery Reader, Volume 1: A Life in Print.
