Storms of the Heart

Storms of the Heart is episode two of the first season of the Salter Street Films/Cinar long-form television series Emily of New Moon (1998–1999; 2002–2003) and episode 2 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 11 January 1998. It was written by Janet MacLean and directed by Randy Bradshaw. It was preceded by “The Eye of Heaven” and followed by “The Book of Yesterday.”

This episode stars series regulars Susan Clark (Aunt Elizabeth), Stephen McHattie (Cousin Jimmy), Martha MacIsaac (Emily), and Sheila McCarthy (Aunt Laura). Guest stars include Michael Moriarty (Douglas Starr), Claire Rankin (Juliet Starr), Kris Lemche (Perry Miller), and Robert Benson (Charles Dickens).
