Under the Wishing Moon

Under the Wishing Moon is episode three of the third season of the Salter Street Films/Cinar long-form television series Emily of New Moon (1998–1999; 2002–2003) and episode 29 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 10 March 2002. It was written by Marlene Matthews and directed by Michael Kennedy. It was preceded by “The Return of Maida Flynn” and followed by “Bridge of Dreams.”

This episode stars series regulars Stephen McHattie (Cousin Jimmy), Linda Thorson (Cousin Isabel), Martha MacIsaac (Emily), and Sheila McCarthy (Aunt Laura); absent from this episode is series regular John Neville (Uncle Malcolm). Guest stars include Peter Donaldson (Ian Bowles), Kris Lemche (Perry Miller), Martha Burns (Eve Kinch), Richard Donat (Dr. Burnley), Chip Chuipka (Mr. Carpenter), and Jessica Pellerin (Ilse Burnley).
