L.C. Page and Company

L.C. Page and Company (later The Page Company) was a Boston publisher that released L.M. Montgomery’s first seven books (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Kilmeny of the Orchard, The Story Girl, Chronicles of Avonlea, The Golden Road, and Anne of the Island) between 1908 and 1915, followed by an eighth (Further Chronicles of Avonlea) in 1920.

In 1925, the Page Company published an eight-page pamphlet entitled “Something about L.M. Montgomery,” to coincide with a reissued edition of Anne of Green Gables with new illustrations; it was reprinted in volume 1 of The L.M. Montgomery Reader. This pamphlet was reissued by Page in slightly different form in 1938.
