Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island is a sketch that L.M. Montgomery contributed to The Spirit of Canada (1939), a souvenir album published by the Canadian Pacific Railway in honour of the King and Queen of England during their royal visit to Canada in May 1939. For the last two paragraphs, Montgomery drew on an earlier essay, “I Have Come Home,” published in 1936. The sketch is reprinted in full in The L.M. Montgomery Reader, Volume 1: A Life in Print.
