Rain in the Woods is a poem that L.M. Montgomery published, under the name “Lucy M. Montgomery,” in the August 1899 issue of Sports Afield, a Chicago publication. It was reprinted, unsigned, in at least two newspapers in early 1900. It also appears in A World of Songs: Selected Poems, 1894–1921.
