Old Quarrels, Old Love

Old Quarrels, Old Love is episode five of the second season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and episode 18 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 30 December 1990 and on the Disney Channel on 13 May 1991. It was written by Heather Conkie and directed by Allan King. It was preceded by “Of Corsets and Secrets and True True Love” and followed by “May the Best Man Win.”

This episode stars series regulars Sarah Polley (Sara Stanley), Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia King), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), and Cedric Smith (Alec King); absent from this episode are series regulars Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King) and Lally Cadeau (Janet King). Guest stars include Frances Hyland (Nanny Louisa), Peter Coyote (Romney Penhallow), Ron White (Mr. Tyler), Patricia Hamilton (Rachel Lynde), Patricia Gage (Mrs. Hardy), and Leon Pownall (Mr. Hardy).

A novelization by Heather Conkie, as volume 15 of the Road to Avonlea book series, was published in Canada in 1992 and the United States in 1993.
