The Disappearance

The Disappearance is episode eleven of the fourth season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and episode 50 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 28 March 1993 and on the Disney Channel on 15 November 1993. It was written by Deborah Nathan and directed by F. Harvey Frost. It was preceded by “Felicity’s Perfect Beau” and followed by “Home Movie.”

This episode stars series regulars Sarah Polley (Sara Stanley), Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia Dale), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King), and Lally Cadeau (Janet King); absent from this episode is series regular Cedric Smith (Alec King). Guest stars include Diana Rigg (Lady Blackwell), Robby Benson (Jonathan Ravenhurst Blackwell), Ian D. Clark (Mr. Tremayne), Michael Mahonen (Gus Pike), Barbara Hamilton (Mrs. Bugle).
