Stranger in the Night is episode five of the fifth season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and the fifty-seventh episode overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 13 February 1994 (out of order as the seventh episode of season five) and on the Disney Channel on 4 April 1994. It was written by Janet MacLean and directed by Allan King. It was preceded by “A Friend in Need” and followed by ‘“The Great Race.”
This episode stars series regulars Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia Dale), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King), Lally Cadeau (Janet King), and Cedric Smith (Alec King); absent from this episode is series regular Sarah Polley (Sara Stanley). Guest stars include Bruce Greenwood (Caleb Stokes) and Marilyn Lightstone (Muriel Stacey).
