Otherwise Engaged is episode eleven of the fifth season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and the sixty-third episode overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 13 March 1994 and on the Disney Channel on 12 December 1994 (where it aired as the season finale). It was written by Heather Conkie and directed by Allan King. It was preceded by “Best Laid Plans” and followed by “Enter Prince Charming.”
This episode stars series regulars Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia Dale), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King), Lally Cadeau (Janet King), and Cedric Smith (Alec King); absent from this episode is series regular Sarah Polley (Sara Stanley).
