The Return of Gus Pike is episode one of the sixth season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and the sixty-sixth episode overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 15 January 1995 (where it aired as part of a double-header with the subsequent episode, “Lonely Hearts”) and on the Disney Channel on 16 October 1994 (where it aired as the third episode of the sixth season). It was written by Marlene Matthews and directed by Stephen Surjik. It was preceded by “The Minister’s Wife” and followed by “Lonely Hearts.”
This episode stars series regulars Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), Gema Zamprogna (Felicity King), and Lally Cadeau (Janet King); absent from this episode are series regulars Mag Ruffman (Olivia Dale) and Cedric Smith (Alec King). Guest stars include Michael Mahonen (Gus Pike), Janet-Laine Green (Eliza Pike), Terri Hawkes (Charlotte Ames), and Don Francks (Abe Pike).
