Davey and the Mermaid is episode three of the seventh season of the Sullivan Entertainment long-form television series Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) and episode 81 overall. It first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on 21 January 1996 and on the Disney Channel on 22 September 1996. It was written by Jeremy Hole and directed by Allan King. It was preceded by “Love May Be Blind . . . but the Neighbours Ain’t” and followed by “Woman of Importance.”
This episode stars series regulars Jackie Burroughs (Hetty King), Mag Ruffman (Olivia Dale), Lally Cadeau (Janet King); absent from this episode are series regulars Zachary Bennett (Felix King) and Cedric Smith (Alec King). Guest stars include Patricia Hamilton (Rachel Lynde), Kyle Labine (Davey Keith), David Hemblen (Lemuel Snibb), Ian D. Clark (Simon Tremayne), Kay Tremblay (Great Aunt Eliza), and Barbara Hamilton (Eulalie Bugle).
