Seal Books was a mass-market paperback imprint initially published by McClelland-Bantam (a joint venture between McClelland and Stewart in Toronto and Bantam Books in New York) and later by Doubleday Canada. It first published all twenty-two of L.M. Montgomery’s book-length works of fiction between 1981 and 1987, and these were published in near-identical form by Bantam Books in the United States.
