The Fir Lane is a poem that L.M. Montgomery published in the December 1904 issue of Vick’s Family Magazine, a periodical based in Rochester, New York. It also appeared in Zion’s Herald, a Boston magazine, in September 1916, and, under the title “The Lane of Firs,” in the Springfield Republican of Massachusetts. It was reprinted recently in A World of Songs: Selected Poems, 1894–1921.
