The Importance of Beauty in Everything is an essay by L.M. Montgomery that appeared in the 19 July 1933 issue of The Family Herald and Weekly Star, a Montreal farm magazine. Although its title suggests an emphasis on the natural world, in this essay Montgomery advises young readers to consider all their career options, pointing out that too many young people are seeking higher education when they are better suited for different kinds of work. It is reprinted in The L.M. Montgomery Reader, Volume 1: A Life in Print.
