In Canada, season one of Road to Avonlea aired on Sunday evenings as part of the “CBC Family Hour” time slot. The first nine episodes aired between 7 January and 4 March 1990, and the remaining four episodes were postponed until the following fall (between 21 October and 11 November 1990), followed immediately by the second season starting on 2 December 1990.
