Overview

Anne with an “E”: season 2 consisted of ten episodes. It starred series regulars Amybeth McNulty as Anne Shirley-Cuthbert, Geraldine James as Marilla Cuthbert, Dalila Bela as Diana Barry, Lucas Jade Zumann as Gilbert Blythe, Aymeric Jett Montaz as Jerry Baynard, Corrine Koslo as Rachel Lynde, and R.H. Thomson as Matthew Cuthbert. New cast members this season included Dalmar Abuzeid as Sebastian “Bash” Lacroix, Cory Grüter-Andrew as Cole Mackenzie, Cara Ricketts as Mary, and Joanna Douglas as Miss Stacy.

The ten episodes of season 2 were written by Moira Walley-Beckett, Jane Maggs, Shernold Edwards, Kathryn Borel, Jr., Amanda Fahey, and Naledi Jackson and directed by Helen Shaver, Paul Fox, Ken Girotti, Anne Wheeler, Norma Bailey, and Amanda Tapping. Walley-Beckett was executive producer alongside Miranda de Pencier, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen, and Ken Girotti. John Calvert produced this season, alongside Patricia Curmi as associate producer, Jane Maggs and Shernold Edwards as supervising producers, and Amanda Fahey as co-producer. 

Anne with an “E”: season 2 was released on DVD in Canada in November 2018.

The titles of all ten episodes consist of quotations from George Eliot’s novel Middlemarch.

Broadcast Dates

Netflix released all ten episodes worldwide (except for Canada) on 6 July 2018.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation aired the ten episodes in weekly instalments between 23 September and 18 November 2018.
